Off/Beat/Heart

Caitlin Kearns

Off/Beat/Heart is a three part audio drama exploration of underrepresented mental health issues including Panic Disorder, OCD and BPD. Each short episode is a snapshot into a young person living with this mental health disorders life, as each tries to navigate dating while living with one of these disorders. As someone living with severe panic disorder I was inspired to write about areas of mental health which I often think are misunderstood by many. In turns funny, heartwarming and honest, I hope this series will open up conversations around these topics, and hopefully bring more awareness and understanding. The pieces are performed by local actors Rob Crawford, Aaron Hickland and Éimear O’Neill, with art work by F.E.W.K
