Into Another World
Brain Injury Matters
16 May, 12:00 - 1:00 pm
University of Atypical
Stories from the Creative Workshop participants of Brain Injury Matters.
Myths are stories told again and again to explain the unexplainable. Brain Injury Matters invites you to enjoy the mythical explanations created by its Creative Writing workshop participants: Lesley Mc Clune, James Stewart, Clare Soutar, Donna Batten, Myrtle Shannon, Alexandra Topping, Leslie Beckett, Rene Boyd, Phillip Green, Leah Batchelor, Lisa Forsythe and Stephen Gifford. They were supported by writer Shannon Yee, who also has an acquired brain injury, to create their own myths, often using their own lives as a starting point.
Join us to listen in and celebrate the unique voices, perspectives and creativity of the group, as their original stories transport us into various different worlds.
This event takes place on Tuesday 16 May, 12:00 - 1:00 pm.
Join us in person at the Chris Ledger Studio, University of Atypical, 109 - 113 Royal Avenue, Belfast BT1 1FF
