It's ok to be you: Drag Story Time

Drag storytime incorporates fun and themes of self worth and inclusion. Teaching kids through stories that being different is not shameful, we read books such as, 'We're the Same but Different ', 'The Penguin who Couldn't Fly' and 'This World is Yours'.

Electra has been a staple of the Belfast drag scene for nearly a decade, performing across all the LGBT+ venues the city has on offer. Queen of a Saturday night at The Maverick, Electra has travelled across Northern Ireland reading stories of being true to yourself and never judging others. Spreading a message of acceptance and living life in colour!

Dickie Beau is a seasoned performer and activist. Using performance to dismantle negative views of LGBT+ people and the art of drag, the character of Dickie Beau celebrates diversity, inclusion and self-belief especially with young or vulnerable people in society.
