Meet the artists and have a look around the space at the Makers Mall in Castle Court.
Maker Mall is the first assisted studio space for adults in Northern Ireland.
Driven by previous projects with artists with disabilities, we are convinced of the necessity and artistic benefit of creating work/studio/rehearsal spaces for artists in need of support to work creatively. This is not just a matter of 'social equality' and 'access to the arts for all'. We are convinced of the unique artistic contributions people with disabilities can make. Especially if they have access to workshops and artists development programmes as a lead to professional practice.
This is the first time we are opening the studios to visitors, come meet the artists and have a look around the space.
Maker Mall is a pilot from Paragon Studios/ PSsquared supported by Belfast City Council through an Artist Studio and Maker Spaces Organisational grant.
PS2 is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
